Climbing to the top of the dome of Florence's cathedral is a physical challenge. The Florence Dome Climb Priority Entrance Tour costs €40.
You must reserve a ticket in advance to go to the top of the Duomo. Consider your tolerance for tight spaces and heights, and skip the ticket line if you've already purchased passes online.
This is still an active consecrated Cathedral and there is a strictly enforced dress code: chest and shoulders must be covered and pants or dresses must reach below the knees.
In peak time, entrance lines to the Florence Duomo can take over two hours, but you enjoy priority access with a skip-the-line ticket and head straight inside.
